Now, thats pretty much all I know about this movie. That, and that there are robot monsters trying to hunt and kill these nine little guys. I know it just came out in USA, but here in Germany, we have to be a little patient.

That being said, you probably should start with the first one, as the story continues (If your into that kinda thing). I do however highly recommend it.

I don’t want to tell the whole story here again, but I’ll leave you with a trailer. If I didn’t know better, I’d say this would make one hell of a movie:

I know what your thinking. “Okay, its gonna have WoW based combat, Star Wars, and the standard quest designs from almost all other online RPG games.”

Well, maybe.

But the things this one does have to offer are a unique cover system (First time seen in an online game), some sweet looking lightsaber combat with original mechanics, and cool interactive cinematic dialogue (All fully voiced!). Also, a big storyline (supposedly), where players have an impact on the story itself.

Now, this thing is being developed (I’m not sure about release dates) at the same time as DC Universe Online , and so far, Champions is winning for me.

This is probably because I got into the beta for it and have had the chance to test it out quite a bit. The first thing that crossed my mind after getting used to the controls was. “Hey, this is actually pretty fun”. Gone are the days from City of Heroes where daily grinding was needed to get that damn travel power. In Champions, you literally get it at level 5. And have an entire warehouse full with obstacle courses, training dummies (Static and running), and damage testing lasers. You are able to test out all travel powers for example, for free. The animations look great, the combat is fun and refreshing from WoWs combat system. (Something, many can agree, I have not done much of.)

Overall, looks like one decent game.

I recently got the demo and played it like 5 times. This game is friggin’ awesome. You really ~feel~ like Batman. Not like the Batman Begins game for xbox where you would sneek around throw some ‘rangs at gas pipes or lights, then sneekily sneek up to thugs and punch them. With Arkham Asylum you actually do detective things like finding clues. You glide around, grapple stuff (and people), you have various batarangs to choose from, even something called the “Bat-claw”. No idea what that is but it sounds very badass. The combat system is really fluid and dynamic and doesn’t get boring. Mainly because you can’t just fight all the time. Jumping down and “attempting” to open a can of whoop-ass will most likely get you shot.

I really hope that this will set the benchmarks for other superhero games, because those have, quite frankly, been pretty crap.

Did I mention the collector’s edition comes with a scale batarang?
